Software Controls up to thirty Mass Flow Meters
The Brooks Smart Interface (BSI) Model 0260 is a Windows®-based software application which provides expanded control and monitoring capabilities in laboratory and research environments for Brooks thermal mass flow meters and flow controllers. Together with the BSI tabletop hardware module, the BSI 0260 provides a turnkey solution for monitoring and controlling up to 30 mass flow meters or mass flow controllers. This eliminates the need for multiple secondary electronics boxes, which saves space, simplifies monitoring and reduces overall costs. From its main screen, BSI 0260 software allows users to display the full-scale flow rate and measured flow rate. Operators can also display and adjust the set point; display device and alarm status; and change valve override status from the main screen. The BSI 0260 provides data logging, batching, blending and the ability to create automated process recipes. Recipe control eliminates the need for operator intervention to adjust set points at designated times, improving process reliability and productivity. The BSI 0260 will work with Brooks Instrument’s 4800 series, SLA5800 series, SLA7800/7900 series, and Mf and SLAMf series.

P9-13 Series Quarter-Turn Electric, Non-Spring Return Actuators feature a rugged, industrial grade design for use with all ball and butterfly valves or dampers requiring higher torque outputs from 17,500 in. lb. to 40,500 in. lb. The series features a self-locking hardened steel drivetrain for smooth operation, mechanical end of travel stops, and patented clutch-free manual override for single-handed positioning of the actuator in any situation. P9-13 actuators include an integrated position indicator, two auxiliary switches, an internal low-power anti-condensation heater, and cast aluminum polymer coated housing with two ľ in. conduit connections rated NEMA 4X for safe exposure to high pressure hosing and corrosion resistance. Proportional control units accept a wide range of control signals while generating multiple feedback signals and are easily installed, calibrated, and adjusted in the field. The actuators are available for 120 VAC or 230 VAC single phase and complete 3 Phase offerings. They are ISO 5211 compliant, conform to AWWA C540 standards, are certified to CSA 22.2 standards including ANSI/UL50 and ANSI/UL 429, and are ARRA compliant. Available options include torque switches, motor control centres, phase monitors, potentiometers, cold weather kits (for operation to -40°F/C), timers, speed controls, single wire control interfaces, a wide array of feedback control interfaces, local control units, and fail safe solutions.

Noncontact Infrared Temperature Measurement System With High Temperature Sensing Heads
Raytek has enhanced its MI3 Series infrared temperature measurement system with the MI3 1M and MI3 2M high temperature IP65 (NEMA 4) stainless steel sensing heads with separate communication module. They provide a 1µm and 1.6µm spectral response respectively, and offer a wide measurement range of 500°C to 1800°C (1µm) and 250°C to 1400°C (1.6µm). The sensing heads have a 120°C head ambient rating with 100:1 optical resolution and are available with standard laser sighting. The MI3MCOMM multichannel communication box supports up to four sensing heads in a convenient DIN-mountable package. All sensor-operating parameters are easily accessed and configured through the standard user interface with large backlit LCD display, or with the powerful Raytek DataTemp® multidrop software via a USB 2.0 digital interface. The multiple sensing head interface of the MI3COMM communication box supports up to eight individually addressable heads when used with the accessory interface box. The Raytek MI3 Series sensors offer a choice of scalable 0/4 to 20 mA and 0 to 5/10 VDC analog outputs, or Type J, K, R or S thermocouple outputs. Fully compatible with the Modbus and Profibus network protocols, the MI3 sensors can be used in a wide range of applications requiring digital communication for field devices. The updated thermometers offer a low-cost, multi-channel noncontact temperature measurement solution with network communications capability. Other standard MI3 features include: adjustable emissivity, transmissivity, peak hold, valley hold and signal averaging; as well as configurable inputs for emissivity control, ambient background compensation and trigger/hold input.

Thermal Imager produces crisp images, accurate temperature readings
The new generation OSXL160 infrared camera is equipped with uncooled focal plan array micro-bolometer and produces crisp thermal images and accurate temperature readings to help increase system maintenance quality and efficiency in many industries. It features a temperature range of  -20 to 1200°C (-4° to 2192°F), voice annotation, analysis software, FLASH memory storage, USB connection to PC, and a coloured thermal image with sounds and alarms.

PURAIR 5 Ductless Fume Hoods offer a high level of operator protection where routine work is being carried out. The units exceed OSHA, ANSI and all relevant international standards, and operate at low noise levels and because they recirculate, they do not exhaust expensive conditioned and/or heated air into the atmosphere. Ductless design eliminates installation costs and allows the unit to be positioned over a sink or benchtop apparatus. Three models are available with a choice of 24 in., 36 in. or 48 in. widths. A face velocity of 100 fpm ensures containment of fumes and particulates for operator protection. An alarm alerts the operator when the airflow falls to an unacceptable level. The rear of the unit has lighting to illuminate the work surface and all mechanisms in the head section are on the clean side of the filter, with switches and electrical components isolated from any contamination. The patented filter clamping mechanism allows for the filter to be easily installed and ensures an even seal at the filter face at all times to prevent bypass leakage. The main filter can be chosen from 14 different types of carbon, which include specialty media for vapors of organics, solvents, acids, mercury and formaldehyde. HEPA filters for particulate filtration are also available.

Weigh Module offers increased Safety and Reliability for Tank Weighing
Pinmount PDX® is an enhanced version of the Pinmount weigh module featuring the entirely digital POWERCELL® PDX®. PDX® technology allows true predictive diagnostics of each individual load cell and the information can be used for preventive maintenance before problems lead to down-time or inaccurate results. The built-in predictive diagnostics system constantly monitors the load cell and alerts the supervisor if a potential problem arises. The microprocessor inside each load cell continually adjusts the weight signal to compensate for environmental factors. It provides accurate weighing regardless of the effects of temperature, linearity, hysteresis, and creep. All electronic components are enclosed in the hermetically sealed load cell housing with IP68/69k approval. The POWERCELL PDX load cells connect to one another in a simple network that eliminates the need for failure-prone junction boxes. The Pinmount PDX features a dual lift-off protection and 360° integrated checking that can withstand wind or seismic forces. The dual safety down-stops protect against collapse in extreme situations. Also, two optional stabilizers steady tanks with mixers thus ensuring short stabilization times.
