Shell Selects Bray International as a Supplier of Butterfly Valves
Shell and Bray International have signed a five-year global Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) that identifies Bray as a supplier of more than 2500 line items of Bray (resilient and Teflon®  seated), McCannaLok (high performance/double offset) and Tri Lok (triple offset) butterfly products and related services. The agreement will encompass all Shell direct operations and its affiliates around the world for both capital and operating expenditures of Bray’s broad range of butterfly valve products.

Schenck AccuRate Names New Chief Operating Officer
Brian Hartwig has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Schenck AccuRate, Inc. He will work with Dirk Maroske to set the company objectives and fulfill the responsibilities of managing the day to day operations for the company.  Dirk Maroske has been with Schenck AccuRate since the year 2000 and has held the position of President & CEO for the last four years. Hartwig has been operating as an interim second officer of the company since the end of February 2011.  In the four years he has been with Schenck AccuRate, his responsibilities have included R&D Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and Director of After-Sales Business.

LAROX FLOWSYS BECOMES FLOWROX
Larox Flowsys, ISO 9001 Manufacturer of ANSI/ISA 75.10.02 compliant High Performance Slurry Pinch Valves, Larox Heavy Duty Slurry Knife Gate Valves, LarFlex Rubber Duck Bill Check Valves, Eccentric Roller Pumps, On-site Hypochlorite Generation Systems, Chemical Feed Systems and Flocculant Preparation and Dosing Systems, has changed its name to Flowrox. The company’s location and all phone numbers remain the same. The reason behind the significant renewal of the corporate brand and image is the recent acquisition of the parent company Larox by Outotec. The pump and valve supplier Larox Flowsys was not included in the deal and continues to develop and grow its business as an independent company.

HONEYWELL TO supplY control and safety systems for RWE Dea’s new north sea Platforms
Honeywell has been selected by RWE Dea to design and install the Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) at both of RWE Dea’s new North Sea platforms, Clipper South and Breagh A. The projects, which are scheduled for completion at the end of 2011, will see Honeywell Process Solutions’ (HPS) ICSS implemented at the two RWE Dea’s North Sea platforms, simplifying operator training procedures and greatly reducing maintenance costs as the company continues its expansion into the region.

The Breagh field is located in the Southern North Sea, approximately 86km from RWE Dea UK's Cavendish gas field. The resources of Breagh gas field, together with its surrounding fields, constitute one of the largest undeveloped natural gas discoveries in the Southern North Sea. The Clipper South field also lies in the Southern North Sea. Production is expected to start in both locations in 2012.

RWE Dea chose the HPS technology following the successful implementation of its ICSS at RWE’s Cavendish platform five years ago. Once installed it will provide a single system architecture that is simple, robust and modular and delivers the lowest total cost of ownership while safe guarding users’ investment for years to come. At the heart of the solution is HPS’ Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS), which transforms process control beyond traditional Distributed Control System functionality by unifying people with process variables, business requirements and asset management.

Sixnet Joins Red Lion
Spectris plc, the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and control company and parent of Red Lion Controls, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Sixnet LLC, a privately-held company based in Albany, NY. Sixnet is a leading manufacturer of flexible industrial Ethernet switch, automation and wireless solutions for the industrial market, and employs around 110 people.

Sixnet joins Red Lion in the Industrial Controls segment of Spectris plc and will be led by Red Lion’s President, Mike Granby. Red Lion provides operator interface products for a wide range of manufacturing and process industries. Sixnet’s hardened Ethernet networking switches complement those of Red Lion’s N-Tron division and the remote automation solutions complement Red Lion’s own product range. Sixnet’s cellular wireless portfolio for the machine-to-machine market provides a new area of business for Red Lion. The majority of Sixnet’s sales are to the US domestic market and good opportunities exist to expand overseas sales using Red Lion’s international distribution channels, particularly in China.

ROMATEC LAUNCHES SERVICE CENTRE IN SUDBURY
Romatec has announced the establishment and launch of its Valve & Gauge Service & Valve Automation Center to be located in Sudbury, ON. It will provide value to customers in Northern Ontario, as well as throughout Eastern Canada. The service centre will offer:

The service centre, opening in October 2011 and combined with experienced local inside sales support, enables Romatec to provide enhanced service and support to our customers and the mining markets in Northern Ontario and surrounding areas.  In addition, the valve and automation repair services will provide further value to all customers in Eastern Canada and complements similar service centres located in Edmonton, AB and Bakersfield, CA that serve Western Canada and the United States.
