FACTORY TRAINED SERVICE AND SALES TECHNICIAN - AUTOMATION & INSTRUMENTATION
LOCATION: QUEBEC, WITH TRAVEL TO USA AND CANADA

Kytola Instruments a recognized leader offering quality solutions in the field of process instrumentation and factory automation to all sectors of the North American process industry is looking for a Factory Trained Service and Sales Technician. The successful candidate will have a mechanical background and be trained by our factory to service and install our oil lubrication panels, instrumentation products as well as sell our products through predetermined customers. 

Qualifications

• Two to five years experience in a mechanical environment or sufficient time in the field to acquire a similar level of expertise
• Ability to interact and develop relationships with customers in a plant environment
• Ability to develop relationship with new customers
• Ability to travel
|• Previous industrial sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Bilingualism an asset with strong English language skills
• Must have a clean driver's license
• Self-starter, ability to plan work schedule and related sales calls
• Meet physical requirements generally associated with field service repair (lifting, bending, etc.)

Duties

• Replace, troubleshoot and/or repair oil lubrication machines and instrumentation
• Carry out factory authorized service work
• Complete service and maintenance records
• Provide input for service training manuals
• Create weekly schedule to visit customer’s facilities
• Ability to work with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software application and generate sales calls and work reports
• Rely on personal judgment for safety regarding product installation
• Maintain performance objectives required by the company
• Assist in the development and promotion of our service programs such as spare part program, factory commissioning and site services programs
• Planning and development of territory through direct sales calls, promotion, research and trade relations
• Assist in comprehensive testing assignments for all new products and existing products enhancement and software
• Lend assistance to production, sales and customers on technical matters.

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain contacts with architects, consulting engineers, contractors, specification writers and building owners to promote and specify the use of our company products and services
  • Will require some travelling within the Atlantic Canada area

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Controls and Instrumentation with 10 years of experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience in sales
  • Experience in controls application and selection
  • Ability to understand customer technical needs and select a suitable controls solutions
  • Familiar with industrial working environment
  • Exposure to steam plant applications would be a definite asset
  • Must be technical and detail oriented
