APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT
ISA Toronto has announced the
appointment of Glen Doole as President for the 2007-2008 fiscal year.
An ISA member since 1989, Glen spent 12 years with the ISA Sarnia Section,
and has been with the ISA Toronto section for the past six years.
He has been a member of the ISA Toronto Executive for the past three
years.
Glen has been involved in instrumentation since 1979, starting with
thermocouple and RTD fabrication at Brian Engineering, He advanced to
Regional Sales Manager for United Electric Controls and, since 2000, has
been a Senior Sales Specialist, Instrumentation Products, with Weir Canada,
Inc. (formerly Peacock Process Equipment & Brian Controls).

10,000th 6-in. Liquid Crystal Flat Panel Display for Aviation Use
Yokogawa Electric Corporation has announced the milestone
shipment of its 10,000th 6-in. liquid crystal flat panel display for
aviation use. Liquid crystal flat panel displays are installed in aircraft
cockpits to indicate flight information such as aircraft attitude,
direction, altitude, and speed, as well as the operating status of engines
and other aircraft systems.
As airplanes have grown larger and faster in recent years, technologies that
enhance reliability and safety have been achieving dramatic progress. In
order to be able to display ever greater amounts of data, these liquid
crystal FPDs can switch between multiple screens.

FKI LOGISTEX APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE
FKI Logistex, a global leader in integrated material handling solutions,
has appointed Chris Roach to the new position of vice president, Customer
Service, FKI Logistex North America. Reporting to Steve Ackerman, president,
FKI Logistex North America, Roach assumes responsibility for all North
American parts sales, parts order fulfillment operations, and hotline
technical support.
Prior to his appointment as vice president, Roach was director of the Parts
Group for FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems North America. He has
previously held management and engineering positions at Diamond Electric
Manufacturing Corporation, Excel Communications, Inc., and American Greeting
Card Corporation.

THOMAS ZANT APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF
MIDLAND
MANUFACTURING
Midland Manufacturing, a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, has
announced the appointment of Thomas Zant to the position of President. In
this role, he will be responsible for providing overall direction for the
company, and will initially focus on accelerating new product development
and enhancing the company’s focus on 100% customer satisfaction.
Zant brings a broad experience in engineering, lean manufacturing and
international operations to Midland after spending the past four years with
Siemens Water Technologies/USFilter Corporation, most recently as General
Manager, Stranco and Wallace & Tiernan Products.
His prior experience also includes positions with Pall Corporation,
Harper-Wyman Corporation, and General Dynamics Corporation.
In his new position Zant will be reporting to David Crouse, President
of the OPW Fluid Transfer Group.

VICKERS-WARNICK PARTNERS WITH LEUZE ELECTRONICS
Vickers-Warnick has announced a new partnership with Leuze Electronic,
manufacturers of safety light curtains and safety scanners, photoelectric
sensors, automatic identification systems, optical data transmission systems
and distance measuring technology.
